Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appealed to participate enthusiastically in the elections.
President Bhandari issued a message on Saturday asking everyone to participate enthusiastically as voting is the highest exercise of civil rights. She has called upon the Election Commission, security agencies, national servants and all related parties to make the elections successful by maintaining a free, fair and fearless environment.
In a message, President Bhandari said, “This will help to establish the good governance and transparency sought by the people in the government system.”
According to him, periodical elections formally express the sovereignty vested in the people and prove that the real source of state power lies in the people.
